What is dry ice?
Carbon dioxide (CO2) in solid form, at -78.5 degrees C. It is called dry because it does not melt. It turns straight from solid to gas, which is called sublimation.
Is it safe for my car?
Yes, done properly. Dry ice is soft and not abrasive. We adjust the pressure for each surface and cover or isolate the parts that need it.
How long does it take?
It depends on the job and on how dirty the car is. We work by the week: you drop the car off on Monday and collect it the following Monday, and we take two cars a week. For rust proofing, the work itself takes 2-3 working days.
How much does it cost?
The inspection costs 181.50 lei with VAT (150 lei + VAT), and it is deducted from the price if you go ahead. The final price depends on the vehicle and how dirty it is. The online configurator gives you a price for engine cleaning and underbody protection.
Do I need to prepare the car?
No. Please do not wash it first. Tell us about any known problems or sensitive areas.
Can I wait while you work?
Not for this. The car stays with us from Monday to the following Monday.
Do you come to me?
No. The equipment needs the workshop, so all work is done in Mera.
What happens to the dirt?
It is blown off the surface and falls to the floor. We collect it and dispose of it properly.
