A workshop in Mera, ten minutes from Cluj
Arctic Works is a workshop at Mera 328A, in Baciu commune. We do two things: dry ice cleaning of cars, engines and underbodies, and anticorrosion treatment with Dinitrol. We are part of the BetterQA group, a software testing company, and we run the workshop with the same habit of writing things down and checking them.
What we work with
Cleaning is done with a Kärcher IB 10/15 L2P Advanced dry ice blaster, with a smaller IB 10/8 for delicate parts. Pressure washing before the treatment is a Kärcher HDS 6/12 C. The CO2 comes from Air Liquide Romania. The rust protection is Dinitrol, made by DINOL GmbH in Lügde, Germany: Penetrant LT, 4942 for the underbody and 4010 Corroheat for the cavities. How a booking works
We take two cars a week. You drop the car off on Monday and collect it the following Monday, and you can see which weeks are free on the availability page. We work Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.
The first step is an inspection, which costs 181.50 lei with VAT (150 lei + VAT). If you go ahead with the work, it is deducted from the price.
The warranty
Anticorrosion treatment carries a 2-year warranty on labour, with free checks at 3, 6 and 11 months. It applies only to the Dinitrol treatment. Cleaning on its own has no warranty.
What we take in
Cars of any make, motorcycles, and vans and pickups. If something has an engine and you are not sure we can do it, call us on 0770 794 523 and describe it.
