Car cleaning in Cluj: wash, detailing or dry ice
The four ways to get a car cleaned around Cluj, what each is good for, and where dry ice fits.
Four ways to clean a car
There are four main options around Cluj. They do different jobs, so the right one depends on what you want.
Self-service wash. Cheap and quick. The result is basic and you do the work yourself.
Automatic wash. Convenient and fast. It can scratch the paint and it cleans only the surface.
Detailing. The most complete result for paint and interior. It takes longer and costs more.
Dry ice cleaning. A deep clean that is safe for the engine and good for the underbody. You need an appointment, and not many places offer it.
Which one for what
For weekly upkeep, a self-service or automatic wash is enough. For a monthly clean, basic detailing. For an annual deep clean, dry ice with detailing. Before selling, dry ice on the engine bay and underbody. For collector cars, dry ice, because it does not abrade the surface.
What we do
At Arctic Works we do dry ice cleaning and anticorrosion treatment. We clean engines and underbodies, and the underbody work leads into Dinitrol rust protection. Interior cleaning is done selectively. The inspection costs 181.50 lei with VAT (150 lei + VAT), deducted from the job if you go ahead, and the configurator gives you a price for the engine and the underbody.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best way to clean a car in Cluj?
It depends on what you need. A wash for upkeep. Dry ice for the engine and the underbody, and for a deep clean once or twice a year.
Is it worth doing before selling?
A clean engine bay and underbody let a buyer see the real condition of the car, which tends to make a sale easier. We cannot put a figure on how much it adds.
